AS&SH Interview Questions

Might be trying to interview some fellow AS&SH players at PAX Unplugged on December 6-9th, 2019 in Philadelphia!  Here are some potential questions I'm thinking about:

General for everyone:

1. What was your first rpg experience? Or what got you into rpgs in general?

2. Which rpgs have you played in the past?

3. Any favorite dice or crazy dice related stories?

4. Minis or not in rpgs?

5. What makes you want to play AS&SH right now in an age of a ton of different rpgs?

6. What makes you want to run/referee AS&SH games right now?

7. Did you now the AS&SH dynamic character and monster sheets is on roll20?

8. Any difficulties playing or finding niche game groups online if you had had experience with it?

9. Did you know AS&SH has a great online forum?

10. Have any advice for making more old school rules games more inclusive? Currently there might be a little more apprehension for some towards getting into old school rules types games due to the writing styles or gender stereotypes etc in some of the old school rule books and background? I think actually AS&SH is a great world setting with a great mix of racial and gender diversity that might not be as obvious to someone new to the setting.

11. Favorite spot in Hyperborea you would want to explore or play through?

12. Have you read or been exposed to the NWA modules? Thoughts on production value and content for players and referees?

13. Have you always been a dm/gm/ref? Or always a player?

14. Can I still have fun with ASSH if I haven’t read HPL, CAS, and REH??

Specific for Jeff T.:

1. What really gave you the idea to create ASSH or what was the genesis? Just nothing else out there quite like it rules wise, Or a few late night whiskey conversations?

2. Any advice for new creators of rpgs for using Kickstarter?

3. Do you think Kickstarter has had any ups and downs or has it been all success for you? Making Achievable stretch goals for your bookmarks, etc. seems to have been very successful and a good strategy.

4. You had a cool experience at Founders and Legends playing with and meeting some of the other current popular rpg’ers like Deborah Ann Woll and Satine Phoenix recently. And you’ve had a longer term connection with Luke Gygax right? What was that event about in general and what were you guys playing for? When did you get the call to be invited to that event? It was not recorded on twitch right? I missed it and have been having a hard time tracking down a recording.

5. You Just had another successful kickstarter for two more adventure modules, want to discuss briefly what these two are about?

6. What’s next for NWA? Products, conventions etc.?

7. How can retailers get in touch with you if they want to order product for their stores?

8. Quick parting words and elevator speech about why someone should check out ASSH in general and what might make it different than some other settings and rules systems out there?
